Varsity Jacket

For GANT’s Blank Canvas project with Hypebeast, Ken worked on a varsity jacket as he would a painting. Spray-painted marks cover the sleeves, while dots across the back suggest a field of connections. The piece was introduced at 180 Corner in London in September 2023.

The jacket also uses thermochromic pigment. Its colour changes with warmth and touch, so the wearer and the surrounding air become part of how it looks. For Ken, those changing colours connect to movement and to memories of home.

Commissioned by GANT in collaboration with Hypebeast. Proceeds from the project supported charities chosen by the participating artists.
