Journey Mercies travels through London on a vehicle wrapped in painted portraits.

A Journey to Remember took the faces from Journey Mercies onto the streets of London. Made with Flight Logistics for its Art on Wheels programme, a Volkswagen van was wrapped in imagery from Ken’s installation of painted boxes.
The vehicle continues the work’s interest in movement. As it carries art and other cargo through the city, the portraits appear in places where a gallery audience might never see them.
Unveiled in July 2021, the van was number 18 in the Ship Art series. Made with the assistance of Youcef Mellal.
