Exhibition informationA Gift of Hope is a mural for the family room at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich, made with Hospital Rooms and the NHS. A yellow hand offers an orange lotus flower. The gesture is simple: someone reaches out with care.
Ken also led workshops with patients at the hospital and the Sainsbury Centre. Participants painted cardboard panels with memories, patterns and familiar objects. When folded into boxes, the panels connected their own stories to a form Ken has used throughout his practice.
The mural and workshops were made for people who spend time in these spaces, including patients, visitors, families and staff. Created in partnership with Hospital Rooms and the NHS, with thanks to the Hellesdon Hospital team.
